Being Bold by Marie Young
Every time our volunteers serve in resKids ministry we are making a difference. We get to partner with you, the parents, to make an impact on their walk with Jesus.
Over the spring, I stepped into a role very dear to my heart. I get to help mentor some of our older resKids into worship leaders for the resKids service. The resKids are seeing their peers worship from the stage, lead them in prayer, talk to them about Jesus and play fun, silly games to connect.
Proverbs 22:6 Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it.
I want to encourage our kids to not be afraid to worship. To be bold in their faith. To realize just because they are kids doesn’t mean they can’t change lives. Encourage your kid that they can change the world. Because they can. They can bring people to Christ.
Once they make that decision to invite Jesus in their heart and receive the Holy Spirit, they have the same spirit that their parents have received. The same spirit the disciples had when they did miracles. When we speak these encouraging words over our children, imagine with them what God can do in their lives.
I’ll close with this verse. Please share with your kids to encourage them.
1 Timothy 4:12 You are young, but do not let anyone treat you as if you were not important. Be an example to show the believers how they should live. Show them with your words, with the way you live, with your love, with your faith, and with your pure life.
